Terms of Service — Smart Tools

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Smart Tools mobile application ("the App"), published by Venusapps Private Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. The service

The App is a collection of utility tools, including a spirit level, compass, ruler, measurement and augmented-reality distance/height tools, construction calculators (such as concrete, flooring, paint, tile, and pipe), unit converters, and sensor readouts (such as sound level, light, magnetic field, altitude, and vibration). The App runs on your device and does not require an account.

The App is provided free of charge. It is offered "as is", and your use of it is entirely at your own risk.

Important — accuracy notice: The App's tools rely on your device's sensors and cameras, which vary in precision between devices and conditions. All readings, measurements, and calculator results are estimates provided for general informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional-grade instruments or professional advice, and must not be relied upon for engineering, construction, safety, medical, navigational, legal, or financial decisions.

Because the App is free and the results it produces are estimates, we accept no responsibility or liability for any incorrect, inaccurate, or imprecise measurement, calculation, or sensor reading, nor for any loss, cost, damage, injury, or other consequence arising from relying on them. You are solely responsible for verifying any result with appropriate professional tools or advice before acting on it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent permitted by law;
copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App; or
use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.

4. Permissions

Certain tools request device permissions (such as camera, microphone, location, and motion sensors) to function. You may grant or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. How permission data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Purchases and optional features

The App may offer optional paid features or upgrades ("Pro"). Any purchase is processed by the app store from which you downloaded the App (for example, Google Play or the Apple App Store), and is subject to that store's terms, pricing, and refund policies. We do not process or store your payment details.

6. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Venusapps Private Limited and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any reading or result will be accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Venusapps Private Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or property, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any reliance on measurements, calculations, or sensor readings produced by the App.

9. Changes to the App and to these Terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which Venusapps Private Limited operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory consumer rights you may have that cannot be waived.
